Education Committee

Hi, potential Active Members of Babylon! We are the Education Committee. The Education Committee is responsible for the organisation of several annual activities. These activities range from the Study Afternoons to the Family Day, and CIS in the Field. As an Education Committee member, you also need to help with the Open Days, the Student-for-a-Day programme (meeloopdagen), and the Matching days (studiekeuzecheckdag). The responsibilities of the Education Committee mainly involve helping prospective and current students with many CIW, IBC, and future career-related questions. Being a member of the Education Committee is not extremely time-consuming, since you only meet once a week for approximately one hour and you work together as a team.

So, if you are a cooperative, enthusiastic person who wants to help students get the best out of their time before, during and after this study program, the Education Committee is your perfect committee!

Orientation Week Committee

The Orientation Week Committee is the committee responsible for organising the Orientation Week and offering the new students a warm welcome in the city of Nijmegen! Several different activities (both formal and informal) need to be organised for the new first year students. You can think of activities like a city tour or a lunch, but also of things like a pub crawl or a cantus for instance. This committee has a lot of responsibilities, but that is one of the reasons why it’s so much fun being in this committee. The Orientation Week Committee only organises the Orientation Week. This means that in the first half of the year there’s not really much to do. In the second half of the year the committee really gets started. You usually have a meeting once a week. The closer you get to the Orientation Week, the busier you will probably be. Keep in mind that you also have to arrange things for the Orientation Week during the holidays, since the Orientation Week always takes place at the end of the summer break.
