We are the committee responsible for the contents of the Babylon Magazine. The Babylon Magazine is published in print 4 times per year and is read by students, alumni and professors from our study.
For each edition, we write formal and informal articles according to a theme we get to choose ourselves. We also conduct interviews with professors and professionals in our field of study.
In the Publication Committee, you get to practice your language skills and learn the basics of content development and journalistic writing with a small group of other students. Previous experience is not a requirement!
The committee meets around 12 times per year, usually 3 times per magazine edition. The workload is low compared to some other committees, but you are expected to work with deadlines and deliver your articles on time.
We hope to see you join the PubCom this year!
Graphic Design Committee
The Graphic Design Committee is responsible for on- and offline Babylon promotion material. Members of the committee design flyers, posters and (Facebook) banners to promote all Babylon events. Next to that, the committee designs the Babylon Magazine. The main goal of the Graphic Design Committee is to support the other committees by designing material to promote their events. The committee primarily works with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Members also get to attend special workshops for these software programs in order to develop their design skills even more. It is therefore not required to master these programs in order to apply for this committee, however experience is always nice to have!
If you have affection with graphic design and would like to design Babylon’s promotion material, this committee is perfect for you!
